Editor’s Letter: May

May has arrived, and with it, the soft green blush of spring transforms into full bloom. The countryside is alive with the chatter of birds and the scent of wild garlic, and there’s a special energy in the air – one that calls us outdoors and reminds us how lucky we are to call this place home.

This month, our local villages and towns are turning to warm weather celebrations: from the first bunting of well dressing preparations, to the clink of pints in pub beer gardens, there’s a gentle vibrance in the air that brings excitement for the Summer season ahead. Whether you're strolling through bluebell woods, preparing for a local fête, or simply enjoying the longer golden evenings, this is a time to slow down and soak in the season.

We’re busy preparing to launch the very first issue of our print publication at the start of June, and we can’t wait to share it with you.

As always, thank you for being part of our growing community. Whether you’re checking regularly or just passing through, we hope we can bring a little Derbyshire warmth to your day.
