Editor’s Letter: November

As the last of the golden leaves fall, November in Derbyshire feels like a deep breath before the whirlwind of Christmas truly begins. It’s that magical in-between month - the one where we swap pumpkins for fairy lights, fireworks for festive markets, and long walks for cosy nights by the fire.

This month, we’re celebrating everything that makes our county so special at this time of year. Our Christmas special issue highlights everything there is to know about the festive season - including a 6-page gift guide from local independents. It’s more important than ever to show your support for small businesses, so we implore you to shop locally for Christmas gifts if you can.

So wrap up warm, keep your camera handy for those incredible winter Peak District sunsets, and join us in celebrating the season ahead. Derbyshire has never looked more magical.

Warmest wishes,

Olivia & Rachel
